Horse Saddle

The horse saddle was designed thousands of years ago. Saddles have come a long way since then as you can well imagine. Nowadays you will find different styles of saddles for different types of riding disciplines. The type of horse saddle you choose will depend on what kind of riding you plan on doing. The top three types of saddles are Western, English, and Australian saddles. Within each of these three types, branches out a variety of other styles. Once you know what kind of riding you would like to pursue, you can choose the style of saddle that will best suit your needs.

Before you can get a horse saddle, you'll need to get yourself a horse. For the majority of the population, horse ownership is not a possibility. Depending on what you plan on doing with your horse, he can be very expensive to keep. Expenses such as hay, grain, vet bills, Farrier service, a good saddle, other tack, and horse board if you don't have property, can all add up. Those people who do have the privilege of owning a horse are well aware of those expenses whether or not you are strictly a pleasure/trail rider or are into showing your horse on the circuit. Aside from the actual upkeep of your horse, your saddle will be your biggest expense, and because of that fact, you will want to make sure you buy the right one. Of course, buying a used saddle is always an option. What's nice about used saddles is they are already broken in for you.

Knowing what type of horse saddle is best for you and your horse is a very important consideration. There are three main types of horse saddles; the Western saddle, English saddle, and Australian saddle. There are benefits to all of these saddles, so be sure to try them all before settling on one. Again, it really comes down to what you plan on doing with your horse.

Many people find that spending time with their horse is a great stress reliever. A casual trail ride on a warm sunny afternoon, or a relaxing ride after a long days work can really lift your spirits. Anyone that rides will agree with me there. All you need to make it happen is the horse of your dreams, and a horse saddle that fits you and your horse like a glove. So what are you waiting for, get on that horse and go!!
